For over four decades Prince Reza Pahlavi has led the opposition to the Iranian Regime. He believes in a secular democratic Iran, at peace with its neighbours and a friend of the US and all democracies. In January 2026 tens of millions Iranians across all cities and provinces rose up at his call. Over 40,000 were massacred over two days on January 8th and 9th and since then over 70,000 have been arrested and tortured and hundreds executed. He has stepped forward to lead the transition to democracy. He has brought together a broad coalition of left and right, republicans and monarchists, tribal groups and religions, united to work together for freedom He has supported targeted strikes by the US and Israel to degrade the Regimes ability to kill its own people and level the playing field but believes change will come, ultimately, from the Iranian people. He has warned that any deal with this Regime will fail and that the only route to peace and stability is regime change. In this fireside conversation, the Prince will share his perspective on this extraordinary moment, his plan for a peaceful transition to a secular democracy, and what he believes the international community can do to help the Iranian people.
