YOUth Empowered, a flagship initiative in Romania, exemplifies the transformative potential of public- private-civil society partnerships by supporting teenagers and young adults (aged 16 to 25 years old) complete their education and secure jobs that match their potential. In Romania, the alarming school dropout rates imply that young individuals are deprived of essential education and skills, while rising youth unemployment signals the lack of opportunities to build their futures. By blending The Social Incubator’s grassroots expertise with Coca-Cola HBC ‘s extensive ecosystem and collaboration with Romania’s educational and labor authorities, this partnership bridges the crucial gap between academic learning and real-world employment. Since 2017, through targeted support, education and practical training, the program has empowered over 41,000 young Romanians inspiring them to harness their talents, pursue their passions and build meaningful careers. This initiative not only equips youth with essential skills but also fosters a sense of hope and belonging, driving positive change in their lives and communities.
