The long-term objective of the partnership is to combat the oral disease and tooth decay epidemic by creating a working model that creates a culture around behavior change towards oral health by providing ongoing care and education in local schools. This partnership achieves its goals and objectives by providing a curriculum that can be added to the existing mandatory health education programs in the schools, providing vetted teachers who would teach the specific oral health behavioral changes to the students on a weekly basis, and create a pipeline for interested students to start a career in dentistry.
