The mission of Senior Service America, Inc. (SSAI) is to strengthen low-income communities through the power and dignity of work. Since our founding in 1962, we have created a pathway to employment for nearly half-a-million job seekers. SSAI and our network of partners provide life-skills, career search, and on-the-job training for the most underserved members of our communities: low-income, older women, Veterans, and job seekers who were formerly incarcerated. We envision a world where everyone can apply their talents, actively contribute to society, and achieve self-sufficiency through productive, meaningful work.
SSAI is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization headquartered in the Washington, DC metro area. We currently offer workforce development programs in 35 U.S. states and territories.
