La República

La República is an economic, business, and financial newspaper from Colombia. Its journal headquarters are located in Bogotá, but the publication circulates around the principal Colombian cities. The audience of its publication surpasses 200,000 readers, with 70,000 copies in circulation around the country. The newspaper was founded in 1954 by Colombian President Mariano Ospina Pérez and Businessman Julio C. Hernández. La República is a member of the Inter-American Press Association and the Ibero-American Economic Press Network. Every year, the publication is rewarded “Businessman of the year” — one of Colombia’s most important awards.
