The Conservamos La Vida partnership brings together technical, logistical, and financial efforts towards the conservation of the Andean bear in the western Andean range of Colombia. The partners, Wildlife Conservation Society, Fundación Grupo Argos, Fundación Smurfit Kappa Colombia, National Natural Parks of Colombia (Parques Nacionales Naturales de Colombia, PNN), and Corporación Autónoma Regional del Valle del Cauca (CVC, the Environmental Regional Authority) aims to conserve a viable population of the species in a landscape of well-connected and managed protected areas, surrounded by working with rural farmers to create sustainable productive landscapes.
