Birth Queen

Birth Queen is a nonprofit organization with a mission to eliminate racial disparities in maternal and infant mortality within the black health space. Through funding, they offer training for doulas, midwives, and lactation counselors to support the professional expansion and accessibility of black birth workers while providing essential prenatal, birth, and postpartum supplies, doula care, and meal delivery for black mothers. Rachel Nicks, Founder of Birth Queen, spoke on our Main Stage at the 2021 Concordia Annual Summit and shared what they are doing to help eradicate and raise awareness around the Black maternal health crisis.
