Concordia is joining forces with Dr. Kerry Healey, Former Lieutenant Governor of Massachusetts and Concordia Leadership Council Member, to bring Millions in the Middle to the 2018 Concordia Annual Summit. Convening the leading voices in the centrist space, Millions in the Middle will operate as a Summit within the larger Concordia Annual Summit to provide a day of roundtable discussions, a networking lunch, and mainstage programming.
Millions in the Middle will bring together the most prominent activists, thought leaders, candidates, and funders working in the centrist, bipartisan, and government reform spaces. The partnership will aim to advance critical discourse at both the macro and micro level on current trends relating to political activism and the importance of supporting the political middle.
Featuring John Hickenlooper, Governor of Colorado, as its keynote speaker, Millions in the Middle will serve as an opportunity to build a strong coalition of thought leaders and actors in the centrist space who are already working concurrently on these issues but are rarely gathered in one place. The gathering at the 2018 Concordia Annual Summit will serve to organize the group around a work plan in order to coordinate and connect initiatives related to normalizing and widening the political middle space.
Programming will bring together centrist viewpoints to identify specific trends influencing American politics today, as well as explore at a deeper level what motivates candidates, campaign financiers, and political activists ahead of the 2020 elections.
