Tom Schiavone, a dual American-Australian citizen, is a U.S. Army veteran previously deployed to South Korea and Ukraine. Currently, he serves as a Hostage Affairs Advisor in the Office of the Special Presidential Envoy for Hostage Affairs at the U.S. Department of State. A graduate student in the Master of Science in Foreign Service program at Georgetown University, his primary area of concentration is U.S. policy towards the Middle East and counterterrorism.
