Thea Anderson is Director for Digital Identity at Omidyar Network – a philanthropic investment firm dedicated to harnessing the power of technology and markets to catalyze economic and social change. Thea has 18 years as a practitioner in financial services, market development, and digital economies, with a focus on fragile markets and politically complex environments. Previously, Thea served as Director for Financial Inclusion at Mercy Corps working across East Africa, West Africa, the Middle East, and South East Asia. She also led financial services initiatives across the Middle East and East Africa for the Development Innovations Group and Global Communities. Thea earned her B.A. from Guilford College, M. Ed from Harvard University in International Policy, and an MBA from the University of Oxford.
