Ambassador Sorin Ducaru is the current Director of the European Union Satellite Centre since June 2019. He has previously held various high-level positions in NATO and the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including ambassador to NATO, USA, and the UN in New York. His background includes degrees in Applied Electronics & Computer Studies, Political Science & International Relations, and International Economic Relations and Institutional Management. Ambassador Ducaru has a rare blend of technical and political studies, and has worked extensively in bridging the technology-policy gap and the impact of technology upon security.
