Teton is a Student Ambassador for Save the Children Action Network (SCAN) and a student at the University of New Mexico, where he plays as a right tackle on the football team. He graduated with a degree in political science this spring and is now pursuing a Master’s degree at UNM’s Law Department with the goal of attending law school. Teton first began working with SCAN in the spring of 2019, when he was selected to represent his school at the organization’s annual Advocacy Summit in Washington, D.C. Teton is a strong advocate for youth development and childhood literacy, both in Albuquerque as well as his home on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota.
