Sylvestre Jobic is Africa Business Venture and Partnership Manager for Bayer Crop Science since July 2020. He has over 25 years experience in global public affairs and sustainability, global marketing and portfolio management with Bayer in its agriculture operations. His international experience has been in the commercial area and most recently as country group head Sub-Saharan Africa, based in Johannesburg. In addition, Sylvestre has experience with Bayer’s Environmental Science business which works to sustainably safeguard and enhance the health, hygiene and safety of people around the world with disease fighting vector control solutions. He has a keen interest in economic development of emerging markets, specifically how digital transformation could fast track new technologies and play a role in eventually breaking the poverty cycle.
