Sidsel Marie Kristensen has served as Chief Executive Officer of the LEGO Foundation since February 2023, after joining the Board of Directors in 2020. She is also the CEO of LEGO Foundation Investments A/S, a subsidiary of the LEGO Foundation focused on impact investments.
Sidsel is Chair of Imagination Lab Foundation, Chair of the Danish publishing house Gyldendal, and a board member of the Committee on Foundation Governance. She also serves on the board of BrainPOP, a leading digital learning provider and wholly owned subsidiary of KIRKBI A/S.
She holds a master’s degree in law from Aarhus University, Denmark, and a master’s degree in European and international business law from Leuven University in Belgium.
With more than 20 years of experience as a lawyer, Sidsel joined KIRKBI A/S in 2016 as Executive Vice President and General Counsel before being appointed CEO of the LEGO Foundation. Previously, she was a partner at the Danish law firm Bech-Bruun.
