Sibusiso is PATH’s country representative for South Africa leading on advocacy and partnerships in the region, including serving as PATH’s liaison to the Africa Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). He’s an experienced public health and policy practitioner with a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Pretoria, a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from Witwatersrand University and a Bachelor of Nursing Science. He has expertise in health advocacy, public affairs, public health, communication and reputation management.

Prior to joining PATH, Sibusiso led public affairs for leading communications firms and NGOs such as the Brunswick Group and Aeras. His experience includes working for international and local organizations including the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Pretoria and Intrahealth International where he acted as Country Director.

He is passionate about health equity and advancing health innovations to solve the world’s pressing challenges and has also led efforts to accelerate medical research and development in South Africa and regionally.
