Sara Perea Sigrist is a legal consultant in Pubic-Private Partnerships (PPPs) for the World Bank. She advises governments on structuring of PPP transactions and the legal and enabling environment for PPPs. She developed the PPP in Infrastructure Resource Center, a website focused on tools to structure PPPs (www.worldbank.org/pppirc). Ms. Sigrist is a lawyer with experience in private sector and international organizations, including the Inter-American Development Bank and the European Commission. She began her legal career at White & Case, Energy and Infrastructure group. Prior to law, she worked for the strategy team of Microsoft Latin America.

Ms. Sigrist holds a Juris Doctorate degree from Georgetown University, Dean’s distinction in leadership. She served as a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar to Brussels, Belgium, where she earned a Master’s degree in International Politics, avec distinction, from the Univerisité Libre de Bruxelles. She holds a BBA in International Finance and Marketing, summa cum laude.

She is fluent in Spanish, French and Portuguese. Ms. Sigrist is married and a mother of three: Gabriel, Sofia and Lucia.
