Lawyer and Philosopher of the University of the Andes, with a Master’s Degree in Law from the same institution. He worked as an advisor in the Council of Bogotá, before moving on to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. There he worked in the Directorate of Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law and was later transferred to the Permanent Mission of Colombia to the United Nations Organization in New York. In the Mission, he supported the Colombian delegation in negotiating the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals; and was in charge of the issues of the International Criminal Court, Disarmament and Security, and Administrative and Budgetary.
