Olusola Olakanmi is a Director of Business Development for Mastercard across Sub Saharan Africa, and until recently, the Head of Card Products for the United Bank of Africa (UBA) Group. Prior to his stint at UBA, he served in several roles at Access Bank Plc and Unified Payment Services Limited including being responsible for building the first EMV shared payment infrastructure to serve customers across Nigeria and Africa.
A graduate of Electrical & Electronic Engineering, he holds an MBA from the Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigeria. He has also attended leadership courses at Wharton Business School and Cornell University in the US, and completed a number of certifications in Project Management, Six Sigma and Card Payments.
As a mentor and leader, he is quite passionate about developing talents and high-performance teams.
