Nicolai Haugaard serves as Novo Nordisk’s Vice President for Global Health Equity, with the responsibility of driving the company’s efforts to promote health equity globally and across therapy areas. Further responsibilities include improving access to care globally and affordability solutions for vulnerable patients. Nicolai’s portfolio includes some of Novo Nordisk’s most prominent initiatives such as the chronic disease prevention program Cities Changing Diabetes, Novo Nordisk’s partnership with UNICEF to prevent childhood obesity and the insulin care and access program for vulnerable children living with type 1 diabetes, Changing Diabetes in Children.
