Born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, Miles Manney is a Law and Legal Studies major with a Terrorism Studies minor at the United States Military Academy at West Point. His undergraduate research explores the political functions of the modern vice presidency, reflecting his commitment to strengthening American governance and national security. This past summer, he served at U.S. Special Operations Command in Tampa, contributing to the annual risk assessment briefed to the Secretary of Defense and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and as a Security Studies Fellow with the Hertog Foundation, where he examined the Pacific War’s enduring lessons. At West Point, Miles serves as the Class President, Brigade S-6 Information Systems Officer for the Corps of Cadets, leads the Terrorism Studies minor, tutors with CEP, competes on his company’s Sandhurst team, and teaches Protestant Sunday school. He hopes to commission as an Infantry officer and pursue a career of service at the highest levels, dedicated to studying how military power can preserve peace.
