Miguel Gutiérrez is a Partner and Head of Private Markets at The Rohatyn Group, overseeing the firm’s Global Emerging Markets private equity, private credit and infrastructure strategies. A member of TRG’s Executive Committee, Mr. Gutiérrez has over 40 years of experience in international financial markets, the majority of this time dedicated to emerging markets.

Over 21 years at J.P. Morgan, Mr. Gutiérrez held numerous senior positions, including Global Head of Emerging Markets. Under Mr. Gutiérrez’s direction, J.P. Morgan established and cemented its leadership position in emerging markets. During his time with J.P. Morgan, Mr. Gutiérrez held various senior positions, running several global business units in different countries in Emerging Markets, Head of European Interest Rate Management and Treasury Manager in London, Madrid and Buenos Aires.

Prior to joining TRG in October 2004, Mr. Gutiérrez served as Chairman and CEO of the Telefónica Group in Argentina and Chairman of Grupo Concesionario del Oeste S.A toll roads in the Buenos Aires area (Argentina).

Mr. Gutiérrez also served as non-executive Chairman of YPF S.A., the largest oil and gas company in Argentina, from April 2016 to December 2019. He has been a member of several international boards and advisory boards for companies including Abertis (Spain), Telefónica (Spain), Telesp (Brazil) and Arch Capital (Hong Kong). He currently serves on the boards of Satellogic (USA) and Capital Advisors Partners Asia (Singapore and Malaysia).
