For more than a decade, I’ve moved from one major investigative story to another, reporting from 19 countries across the Americas, Africa and Europe. I’ve investigated some of the biggest multinational corporations in the world, including Ford, Alcoa, Chevron, Samsung, Walmart, Target, Avantor and Odebrecht, as well as major banks like Wells Fargo and Bank of America. My stories have revealed slavery, human trafficking, environmental and human right abuses in corporate supply chains and corruption, money-laundering and financial crimes at the hands of wealthy individuals and politicians. My award winning stories have spurred criminal investigations by law enforcement and lawmakers in multiple countries and pressed companies to improve governance and eliminate human-rights, labor and environmental abuses from their supply chains.
My work has won more than two-dozen major international honors and awards. These include the George Polk Award, Columbia University’s Maria Moors Cabot Prize, the Gerald Loeb Award, Overseas Press Club of America honors and the Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award.
