Michael Pfeifer is a member of Dentons’ Political Law, Ethics and Disclosure team. The focus of his practice is providing lobbying, campaign finance, and government ethics compliance counsel and representation to trade associations, political action committees (PACs), corporations and other business entities, non-profit organizations and elected officials at the federal, state and local levels.

Michael serves as Outside Counsel to the Concordia Board of Directors, advising on all legal and governance matters.

Michael has represented clients in connection with governmental and regulatory investigations and hearings before federal and state agencies and legislative committees, including the Federal Election Commission, the Office of Congressional Ethics, the US House Committee on Ethics and the Massachusetts Office of Campaign and Political Finance. He has also advised numerous companies on the creation and implementation of compliance programs regarding federal, state and local political contributions (pay-to-play), lobbying tracking, the provision of gifts to public officials, and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) prohibitions.

Michael has represented political candidates at the federal and state levels, including presidential candidates, and has consulted on and drafted state ballot initiatives related to election laws. He currently represents a national non-profit organization that is part of a bipartisan effort to expand the use of Vote at Home (universal Vote by Mail) election systems around the country. 

Prior to working at Dentons, Michael was an associate at another AmLaw 100 firm. While a student at the University of Virginia School of Law, he clerked for former Maryland Attorney General Doug Gansler. Michael received his B.A. from Miami University in Ohio.
