Michael J. Wolf is the Founder and CEO of Activate Consulting, the leading management consulting firm focused on technology, internet, media, and eCommerce businesses. He and his team advise CEOs, senior leaders at major companies, and emerging innovators on their most critical strategy, operations, revenue growth, organization, programming, and M&A decisions while helping them build new technology-enabled businesses. Previously, Mr. Wolf served as President and Chief Operating Officer of MTV Networks (now Paramount Media Networks), where he was responsible for leading all of the company’s business, finance, sales, production operations, and technology across its major businesses (MTV, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, VH1, and Viacom Consumer Products). Prior to MTVN, he was Global Managing Partner of McKinsey & Company’s TMT practice. He joined McKinsey as the firms’ first direct-elect senior partner after leading Booz Allen Hamilton’s global Communications, Media, and Technology Group, which he founded. Wolf is a keynote speaker at the Wall Street Journal Technology conference, where he unveils Activate’s Annual Technology & Media Report. He is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
