Matt was appointed as President, ExxonMobil Product Solutions Company and Vice President, Exxon Mobil Corporation on May 1, 2025.
Matt was previously President, Global Business Solutions from 2023-2025. He joined the company in 1995 at the Fawley Refinery in the United Kingdom. He has held a number of senior vice president and vice president positions across ExxonMobil’s Low Carbon Solutions, Product Solutions and Upstream businesses. Matt also progressed through several positions in Refining and Chemicals across operations including Baytown, Baton Rouge, Rotterdam and Fawley.
Matt was elected to the Imperial Oil Board of Directors in 2021 and served through April 2024. He holds industry leadership positions with the American Chemistry Council and the International Council of Chemical Associations, advocating for well-designed policies to govern the commerce of plastics and petrochemicals. He is also the executive sponsor of ExxonMobil’s Global Organization for the Advancement of Latinos (GOAL).
Born in Cuckfield, England, Matt graduated from Cambridge University with a master’s degree in Chemical Engineering. Matt and his family currently reside in The Woodlands, Texas. In his spare time, Matt enjoys winter skiing and traveling.
