Manuel Pereira Colocci facilitated the design of the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) that now reaches over 80 countries around the world. He serves as the Senior Program Designer in the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) continuing to find creative ways to expand access to networks, resources, and capital for women entrepreneurs. Formerly, he developed pilot programs in ECA’s innovation hub that looked at new approaches to educational and cultural diplomacy. A native Uruguayan, he graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in International Studies and is currently completing an Executive Master’s at Arizona State University’s Thunderbird School of Global Management. His experience teaching English in Brazil, administering Fulbright scholar exchanges, and moderating diplomatic panels at major comic book conventions has built an affinity for how people share stories and build relationships to maximize opportunities for growth.
