Luis Carlos Vélez is one of the most prominent journalists in Latin America. He holds a Master’s in Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, specialized in Business Administration from the same university, and a degree in Economics from the Universidad de los Andes. With over 20 years of experience leading news teams in the United States and Latin America, Vélez has extensive experience in broadcast television, cable, radio, and digital media. He has served as VP of News for Telemundo Network, News Director for Caracol TV, and Presenter for CNN en Español and CNN International. Currently, he is the News Director for La FM de RCN, a News Presenter for Univisión 24/7, and a columnist for Revista Semana. Vélez won the Emmy Award for Best Spanish-Language News Coverage in 2015.
