Lorraine McMillan is the Global Asset Management Director and fund manager of the Strong Women Impact Fund at VisionFund International (VFI), the microfinance arm of World Vision. With a global network of over 20 microfinance institutions and a total gross loan portfolio in excess of $540 million, Lorraine is responsible for ‘running the bank’ which includes overseeing the Capital Markets and Investments functions at VFI. In addition to ‘running the bank’, Lorraine oversees global liquidity and solvency throughout the network.

Previously, Lorraine worked as a Director at Deutsche Bank for over 15 years and has international experience in New York and London in helping corporations and global institutions achieve their financing and strategic goals in the capital markets. Her extensive experience in both loan and debt capital markets include leading high-profile M&A financings for household names, working on credit facilities with total capital commitments in excess of USD 100bn and advising globally sophisticated borrowers on their funding strategies which include raising capital across international bond markets. Lorraine earned her B.S. in Management Science Information Systems with a minor in Psychology from Rutgers Business School at Rutgers University in New Jersey.

Lorraine is based in London with her husband and their two sons.
