Kate Warren is EVP and Executive Editor at Devex, where she brings over two decades of experience in global development and media to advance the Sustainable Development Goals. She leads special coverage, including news events, Devex Pro, and editorial initiatives tied to key moments on the global development calendar. A recognized voice in the field, Kate frequently speaks, moderates, podcasts, and writes about trends in social impact and global development. Prior to joining Devex in 2008, Kate implemented USAID-funded projects across rule of law, infrastructure, civil society strengthening, and monitoring and evaluation. Her work with an international NGO and global development consulting firm took her to Afghanistan, Indonesia, Colombia, Kenya, and beyond. A native Texan and University of Texas at Austin graduate in Latin American Studies, Kate speaks Spanish and has lived in Argentina, Costa Rica, and Mexico. Her work has taken her to more than 40 countries. When not leading Devex editorial initiatives or speaking at international conferences, she spends time with her husband and two children in Washington, DC.
