Kate joined Concordia in June 2018 as a Global Events Intern.
Kate is in her fourth year at the University of Virginia, enrolled in a 5-year accelerated BA/MT program in the Curry School of Education. Upon completion of the program Kate will hold a Masters of Teaching in Elementary Education as well as a BA in Youth and Social Innovation with a Minor in Spanish.
Kate has held many positions at UVA, including being a Student Ambassador for UVA Admissions and Director of UVA’s Camp Kesem, a national non-profit that holds free summer camps for children whose lives are touched by cancer. In addition, in 2017 Kate served as an intern for UVA’s Global Leadership Forum, which brought together leaders from around the world to discuss the role of women in 21st Century democracy and gender equality in education.
