As an Associate in the Programming Department, Juan Pablo oversees and assists with the programming sessions for all events, with a specific focus on format and content. While supporting the team with the event management & logistics around the annual portfolio of programming, he provides support in the creative process in terms of speaker recruitment, themes, and formats. Additionally, he supports the recruitment of sponsors, partners & members to grow the Americas Initiative. Prior to his current role, Juan Pablo was a Programming and Communications Coordinator.

Juan Pablo is originally from Colombia and he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia, and holds two Minor degrees in Journalism and in Management. As his graduate thesis, he developed a guide to execute, communicate, and measure the impact of social investment projects developed by private sector companies. During his time in university he also participated in several social groups and co-founded a social service group focused on aiding young people and low-income populations. In 2021, he earned a Master’s degree in Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable Leadership from OBS Business School and the University of Barcelona.

Prior to Concordia, he worked in a consulting company as an Associate, developing recruitment strategies and high-level organizational consultancy for various multinational companies with presence in Latin America. He has a high interest in sustainable development and in economic, financial and political issues around the world.
