Josephine Nabukenya is a board member and global Youth Ambassador for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation. As a community advocate living with HIV, Josephine works daily to fight HIV stigma and discrimination across her home country of Uganda and has testified in front of the U.S. Congress, championing the need for increased funding to end the global pediatric AIDS pandemic. Josephine earned her degree in Social Work from Makerere University in Uganda in 2018. She is a board member for the International AIDS Society and also serves as a Stephen Lewis Foundation Youth Program Coordinator at Makerere University Johns Hopkins University (MUJHU). In 2016, Josephine was awarded the Queen’s Young Leader Award for her global advocacy work.
