John Nosta is a leading innovation theorist working at the intersection of technology, artificial intelligence, and medicine. He is the founder of NostaLab, an innovation think tank, and the author of The Borrowed Mind: Reclaiming Human Thought in the Age of AI. His writing appears in Psychology Today, where he authors the column “The Digital Self,” alongside contributions to Forbes, Bloomberg, and Fortune, and his work has been published in peer-reviewed journals including the American Journal of Physiology, the American Journal of Hematology, and the Journal of the American Heart Association. Nosta has advised organizations including Google Health and served on the WHO Digital Health Roster of Experts, and he speaks internationally on the changing relationship between human cognition and emerging technology. He built a 25-year career in medical marketing leadership before emerging as a public voice on AI and cognition–a body of work that stretches back to 2012, well before the current wave of interest in the field.
