James Mandel is a Managing Director in the Portfolio Operations Group at Blackstone. He is focused on sustainability and emissions reduction within Blackstone’s portfolio. Prior to that, he was a Managing Director at Rocky Mountain Institute where he led the Carbon-Free Buildings Program. James has a Ph.D. in Ecology from Cornell University.
