Eric graduated with honors from Georgetown University Law Center, and Bowdoin College. He started his career as a communications law associate at what is now Hogan Lovells. He served as U.S. regulatory counsel for British Telecommunications plc. and as global regulatory counsel for Concert Communications plc. In 2002, Eric joined AT&T, where he held several positions including as Senior Vice President, International External Affairs, with responsibility for advocacy to international departments of the U.S. government and all branches of government outside the U.S.
