Emmanuel Ikenna Ohiri is a policy analyst and young leader at the intersection of sustainable development, human rights, and global governance. He currently serves as an Expert Consultant, advising national governments on sustainability and economic development. Previously, he worked with the United Nations Human Settlements Programme, advancing sustainable urbanization and global development cooperation.

Emmanuel is also an advocate and civic organizer. As the UN Foundation’s Global Goals Ambassador for SDG 8, he amplifies youth voices in global debates on decent work, economic opportunity, and social protections. In New York, he is a Public Health Policy Fellow with the NYC Department of Health, driving equity-based initiatives on youth mental health and housing. He also curates the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers Community in Manhattan, where he has led intergenerational campaigns on civic engagement and economic resilience.

He has delivered statements at UN forums, including the Financing for Development Conference in Seville, and is committed to bridging civil society, government, and the private sector to advance inclusive prosperity.
