Vaughn Holder has B.S. in Animal Science and an M.S. in Ruminant Nutrition and Microbiology from the University of Pretoria, South Africa. He has a Ph.D. in Ruminant Nutrition which he completed at the University of Kentucky focused on nitrogen utilization and protein nutrition in cattle. Vaughn joined Alltech in 2012 as a post-doctoral trainee with focus on advanced technical support in ruminant protein nutrition. In 2013, Vaughn was transferred to Alltech’s South African offices in Stellenbosch as National Director: Research and Technical and was responsible for technical sales and research within the South African and broader sub-Saharan Africa regions. In January 2015 Vaughn was transferred back to Alltech’s research headquarters in Nicholasville, KY to lead the global nutritional research in beef species. Since 2017 he has served as Global Ruminant Research Group Director where he heads up global nutritional research in ruminant species.
