Dr Neeta Rao, Senior Health Lead with USAID/India, is a senior public health professional with over 18 years’ experience in health systems strengthening, including health financing, research and evaluation, policy, and program management. She has worked with diverse stakeholders in the development sector, including World Health Organization, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, implementing organizations, grassroots NGOs, and multinational agencies.
At USAID over the past eleven years, she worked on various health systems strengthening initiatives, especially on health financing and evidence-based policy and program. She is currently leading the world’s first ever $250 million healthcare blended financing facility, and various risk pooling and results-based financing initiatives at USAID and provides strategic guidance and oversight to USAID’s over $100 million worth health investment in the Western region of the country.
Dr. Rao strives to ensure that the most vulnerable and marginalized populations in India have access to affordable and quality healthcare.
