Dr Kristin Barnes is a graduate of the US Naval Academy and retired Navy Commander with 23 years of active duty service. She flew off aircraft carriers in the F14 Tomcat for nearly 3,000 hours and over 700 arrested landings. In her retirement, she attended medical school and holds a license as Naturopathic Doctor and Acupuncturist in Washington and Oregon. Dr Barnes is a member of several non-profits supporting veteran care including No Fallen Heroes which provides psychedelic assisted therapy to veterans in the treatment of PTSD and trauma. She is also active in the US Naval Academy Alumni Foundation (specifically the Women’s Special Interest Group) providing resources to women who identify as survivors of sexual assault. Dr Barnes’ private practice is focused on the treatment of disease at its root cause – trauma. She invites patients to go beyond survive and instead, thrive.
