Donato Martinez is Technology and Digital Transformation Vice-President, member of the Corporate Executive Board – NAVANTIA, S.A., S.M.E.
Prior to this position, Mr. Martinez was based in Australia, where he was Navantia Australia Manager until 2017. In Australia he led the activities of the SEA 5000 program of future frigates for Australia and the Reform of the AWD destroyers program as Director of Production Planning and Engineering. He moved in 2014 to Adelaide set up the Navantia Australia design and operations center. Before this, he was Project Manager of the S-80 submarines for the Spanish Navy.
He held several positions within the Scorpene Consortium in the areas of quality and technique. Mr Martinez began his career in Navantia, as Deputy to the Technical Director in the Paris Office for the Scorpene Program for the Chilean Navy.
He is a qualified Naval Engineer from the Higher Technical School of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering. Mr Martinez holds a Master in Business Administration from the IESE and completed the EOI Executive Development Program.
