Christian Pennotti is a Senior Director at CARE and currently serves as the Managing Director for the Women in the Digital Economy Fund (WiDEF), a $60M initiative of USAID and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. In partnership with GSMA and the Global Digital Inclusion Partnership, WiDEF is committed to meaningfully closing the gender digital divide. A global leader with a 20-year track record, Christian has extensive experience defining strategy and building programs, teams and partnerships to deliver lasting economic change. Prior to taking on his current role, Christian led CARE’s global savings group strategy and spearheaded CARE’s work to support growth-oriented micro and small enterprises. Christian holds a Master’s Degree in International Development and has lived or worked in over two dozen countries.
