Professor Rasmussen is Director of the Victoria Institute of Strategic Economic Studies at Victoria University, Melbourne and Co Chair (Academic) APEC Life Sciences Innovation Forum. His most recent work is on health and productivity and the economic returns to investment in health for the US Chamber of Commerce. He is also conducting research for UNICEF on the costs and risks resulting from ‘not-investing in education systems in Syria. Previously he investigated the value of investing in adolescent health in Burundi (UNICEF) and India (UNFPA). The results his studies have been published in The Lancet, Nature and Journal of Adolescent Health.
