The Honourable Bruce Golding served as the eighth Prime Minister of Jamaica from 2007 to 2011. He is a former leader of the Jamaica Labour Party who has spent a career in public service that spans more than five decades, including service as Member of Parliament, Senator, Cabinet Minister and Leader of the Opposition.
He has served as the chairman of the United Nations Commission on Human Settlements and chairman of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM). Since his retirement he has served as an Honorary Distinguished Fellow at the University of the West Indies. He is currently engaged as a member of the Eminent Persons Group assigned by CARICOM to assist in resolving the political crisis in the Republic of Haiti.
