A former investigative journalist turned global health leader, Borjana Pervan has spent two decades driving behaviour and policy change across complex systems — from understanding the economics of cocoa and child protection in global supply chains, to environmental conservation, to translating cardiovascular science into political action. She has shaped agendas at the UN and the European Commission, and built cross-sector alliances with governments, civil society, and the private sector that turn political commitment into real-world impact. As CEO of the World Heart Federation, she drives the strategic vision and global influence of the federation, with a particular focus on making cardiovascular health a government priority through ambitious national action plans.
She speaks five languages and holds degrees in Policy Making, Mass Communications and Political Science.
