During high school, Ben drove a Good Humor ice cream truck and with the help of his brother Pete, they established a (mini) ice cream empire in their hometown selling frozen treats. Ben used the savings from the summer to travel abroad, where he became enamored with quality foods and ingredients he discovered around the world.
