Ayesha Khan is Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer at Volunteers of America-Greater New York (VOA-GNY) where she oversees the organization’s fundraising strategy, engaging corporate, foundation, government and individual stakeholders in VOA-GNY’s critical housing and human services work. Less than a year into her tenure, Ayesha secured the organization’s largest gift: a $20 million commitment for a new Housing Innovation Fund. Ayesha has two decades of progressive leadership experience in the human services sector with a focus on philanthropy operations and strategy, program design, donor relations and board management for domestic and international organizations. Prior to VOA-GNY, she led the Global Partnerships and Philanthropic Services Team at the International Rescue Committee (IRC), and has held senior roles at the Lumos Foundation and the Feeding America network. Committed to supporting her community, Ayesha serves on the board of the Greenwich United Way, as Co-Chair of Reach Prep’s Associate Board, an education focused organization that provides access to transformational educational experiences that empower underserved, high-achieving students, and as Regional Chair for Girls with Impact. Ayesha holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Lake Forest College.
