Anna Yakubova is the Executive Director of Certification in the Division of Economic and Financial Opportunity (DEFO) at the New York City Department of Small Business Services (SBS). Anna is responsible for overseeing a team of Certification Analysts and Field Auditors in processing and evaluating applications from businesses applying for the City’s Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE), Locally-Based Business Enterprise (LBE), and Emerging Business Enterprise (EBE) Certification Programs. Anna tracks the performance of both teams ensuring targets and goals are met and works closely with other units within the Agency to develop new strategies for improving the City’s Certification Programs. Anna holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Information Systems from Queens College, City University of New York, and a Master of Public Administration from Baruch College, City University of New York.
