Anna Pienaar serves as Global Director of Institutional Partnerships at International Justice Mission, applying IJM’s expertise in anti-human trafficking programs around the world to corporate supply chains. International Justice Mission (IJM) is a global non-profit with extensive experience addressing human rights abuses in the developing world. IJM’s mission is to protect the most vulnerable from abuse, with a particular focus on communities where little or no protection is currently afforded to those who need it. Anna works with corporate partners to develop programs that result in safe communities in upstream supply chains, resulting in an enabling environment for responsible and sustainable sourcing.
Anna has over ten years of experience managing international development programs in the areas of poverty alleviation; education; microfinance; and human rights in Africa and Latin America. She holds a M.A. in International Development from the University of Wales; a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management from Manchester MU Business School, and a B.A. in politics and languages from the University of Manchester, UK. She lives in Arlington with her husband and two children.
