Anna Morris is Performing the Duties of Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Terrorist Financing. As the head of Treasury’s Office of Terrorist Financing and Financial Crimes, she is responsible for leading strategies to disrupt the financing of threats to national security and to protect the international financial system from abuse by illicit actors. Ms. Morris’s global portfolio includes the most serious threats to national security, including terrorism, Russia, North Korea, and Iran. Prior to this position, Ms. Morris served as a Deputy Assistant Secretary for Global Affairs, Director, and Senior Advisor to the Assistant Secretary for Terrorist Financing, and has covered Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Mexico and broad anti-money laundering/combating the financing of terrorism and WMD proliferation (AML/CFT/CPF) issues during her tenure.
