Mr. Anders Hedegaard has been President and Chief Executive Officer of Bavarian Nordic A/S since August 1, 2007. Prior to working for Bavarian Nordic A/S, Hedegaard worked as the Executive Vice President of Business Operations & International Marketing and Sales & Marketing for the pharmaceutical company ALK-Abelló A/S of Chr. Hansen Holding A/S. There he was a member of the executive management team from 2002 to November 2007. His previous management career includes executive and management positions with FOSS A/S and Novo Nordisk A/S. Mr. Hedegaard is currently also the Director of Origio A/S, and has been since April 2011. Mr. Hedegaard holds an MSc in chemical engineering specializing in molecular biology.
